Grade:
VG/Fine
This bank was the third chartered in this city. This note is the only one known on the bank, and in fact, the only note known on the town before 1919. Even though there were three other early national banks, they are all unreported. This bank was chartered in 1882 and liquidated in 1892 after printing just 2,603 sheets. This note, previously from the DeGood collection, has excellent pen signatures of John D. Norton, President and B.S. Tregent, Cashier. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
