August 15, 1850. Only two of these $1 proofs from The Marine Bank of Buffalo are known and they were originally offered in the ABN sale. The note features two very attractive front facing views of ships on both sides. The center features a sailor with flag and the NY state seal. Listed in Haxby as SENC. Imprint of Danforth, Bald & Co. Printed on India paper and mounted on card (Plate B). No ABNC stamp on back. From the Eastern Collection.
