January 15, 1862. This is a totally unknown, unlisted discovery note that will surely thrill the Alabama collectors. Notice this special spelling, it's a Res-tau-rat rather than restaurant. I'll bet that didn't make the owner happy, but maybe they did not notice. Signature is possibly that of Louis Cardinal. There is a tiny rust mark (hole) in the lower right corner.
