Grade: PCGS New 62 PPQ
Here is a beautiful, fresh example of the 1861 $100 Richmond that has a central vignette of a railroad, with Justice at the left and Minerva on the right. The quality is as good as when it was made with bright, fresh colors and close margins, that are normal for the issue. This note has, "Distributed, Sept. 22, 1861, Ferdinand Hobby, Capt." on the back. I have seen recent prices in excess of $5,000 for this note.
