DC-170, G22a. July 1, 1862. A popular and colorful remainder printed by the Union Bank Note Company of Newark, New Jersey. A sought after note due to the lovely orange overprint on the front and the ornate green back. The bank only lasted one year, likely due to the bank offering to pay the bearer in United States Treasury Notes.
