Panora, Guthrie County NB, M3226
Fr. 624 $10 1902ND
Grade: VF
An attractive note from a tough and seldom seen Guthrie County town. Despite 16 notes reported from this large-only issuer, they are tightly held or in museums, and rarely available. Established in 1851, Panora is the oldest community in Guthrie County, and was the county seat until 1876. The unusual naming of Panora resulted from Pioneers viewing the site of the present town from the hillside who exclaimed, "What a beautiful panorama!" Later, when the town was platted, the word "panorama" was contracted to Panora. Lovely pen signatures of T.R. Swanson, Cashier, and Wade Spurgin, Vice President.
Current Bid: $ 600.00

Estimate: ($ 1,000.00 - $ 1,500.00)
