There are few opportunities to acquire this 1880 $5 Legal Tender with the large red/orange seal and blue serial numbers. They are often confused with the much more common types issued around this note. There are 82 serial numbers recorded and 7, including the consecutive serial number, are graded a point or two higher. I am surprised this didn't grade higher. Great color, excellent centering and beautiful paper, it's special. We sold a 58 PPQ in 2011 at $4,140. These are tough.
