Lot #5488 - Warren Warren County Bank $5

Obsolete Notes & Miscellaneous Items > Pennsylvania

Warren Warren County Bank $5
Grade: F/VF
PA-680 G8. July 4, 1857. Very rare as an issued note, as Haxby only reports it as a Proof, and all other notes from this bank listed as SENC. This bank only operated for three years prior to being absorbed by the North Western Bank of Warren, whose notes are rather common. This is the first we have seen of any note from this issuer, let alone an issued example. Nice central vignette and fancy orange tints and protectors. Good pen signatures of Rufus O. King, Cashier, and J.Y. James, President.
Current Bid: $ 250.00

Estimate: ($ 350.00 - $ 450.00)
