A single digit serial number on the FRBN series makes for a special collection, but when you can add a #1 note, your set soars into the lead. Considering how many low numbered notes were saved across the entire series, it is amazing how few of the #1 notes surface. Only one serial #1 $20 has sold recently; that was an Atlanta note in PCGS 63 PPQ, bringing $14,100 in an auction from April, 2013. Only three other #1s have been reported on the entire 1929 FRBN series.
