A very high quality $5 Demand note that has excellent paper quality and color. The Demand notes were not in circulation for long but the Civil War was hard on the new bank notes. Just over 100 serial numbers are listed and possibly as few as 9 are graded higher than this example. This note has three hard folds and some edge restoration that remains nearly undetectable to most. The note is listed as XF in Track & Price and would no doubt be NET graded.
