Lyndon Bank of Lyndon $3 Proof
Grade:
PCGS Apparent Very Ch. New 64
May 1, 1855. A really pretty odd denomination proof that faces up like a Gem any day of the week. PCGS does correctly note minor stains and small edge tear, both of which affect the eye appeal little or not at all. When one typically finds proofs on this bank they are totally black and white; the present example has a bold red "3" protector at bottom center below the large bovine vignette.
