Grade:
Fine
A scarce bank in Converse County that is rarely offered for sale, even with 11 large notes reported. Douglas was the only town in Converse County to host a national bank, and it was home to two. This bank started 20 years after the First National Bank opened its doors and continued throughout the note issuing era. One the scarce side, this example is well used, however, surprisingly free of tears and pinholes. The signatures are purple stamped but well hidden by the dirt.
