Cover Note from U.S. Paper Money Errors. Museum-worthy cutting error with everything in its favor: Gem New grade, gargantuan fold-over, a star/replacement note on redesigned $100. In Memphis, we sold a smaller cutting error on a non-star for $5,875, which seems like a bargain place to open this lot. This exact note appears of the cover of the 4th edition of United States Paper Money Errors, released just weeks ago. While not exactly the same as being selected for the cover of the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated, errors are perhaps the most visual specialty within paper money and being one of only three mistakes to grace the cover of the definitive reference says a lot.
