___, 18__. A bright and colorful remainder note from this bank that later became the FNB of Detroit. This $2 has a beautiful red and black layout and an Indian hunter spearing a buffalo vignette. The note also incorporates "Lyman's Protection," which was used to prevent people raising lower denomination notes to higher ones. Lyman placed the vertical bar center, left or right depending upon the denomination. On this note, the bar splits the design in half. This note has several light folds. Haxby MI-160, G4a.
