This note is $10 Silver Certificate with the Vernon-McClung signature combination and was not believed to exist by Doug Murray when it appeared in 1990. It was assumed that Vernon-McClung notes delivered in 1910 had been pre-star large size but there were 592,000 as part of a 1914 delivery, an entirely different matter, and Treasury records concurred. Based on the serial #*9682B it indicates that there were actually 12,000 printed, a surprising number to Doug of about double what might have been expected. This note is definitely unique as I can tell and I expect serious interest among collectors. These days a grade of Fine might fit better but it does have a tiny split.
