Grade: PCGS XF 45 Apparent
This is a very high quality $50 mule star that has exceptional color and centering but is labeled 'apparent' because of a tiny split that has a repair at the top margin. There has not been any offering since 2003 when I sold a '55' at $10,925. Non-mule stars in '30' and '35' have brought $12,075 and $10,925 in 2009 and 2011 respectively. PCGS notes: small edge repair at top center. There are only four star serial numbers reported on this Speelman-White signature combination.
