This is unique for town and obviously for bank. This bank charter was organized in 1885 and was voluntarily liquidated in April 1897, being succeeded by the Westmoreland State Bank. Of the 2,451 sheets issued, only $25 was outstanding in 1910. No new reported in the last 22 years. The note has a few splits and a corner that detracts slightly but it will be tough, if not impossible, to find another. From the C. Dale Lyon Collection.
