Looking over auction results for the past 40 years one can find records of less than two dozen nine-digit serial numbered notes from all series in all denominations. The last major offering of these wonderful hand-set nine-digit serial numbered notes was a group of six of them auctioned by Stack's in June 2005. None of those notes were graded, and some were circulated, with others being uncirculated. Four of the six realized over $23,000 a decade ago. The face centering on this beauty is dead on and would warrant a much higher grade. With the back centering being a bit low, PCGS chose to give this beauty a '64 PPQ' grade. We doubt a much more attractive nine-digit serial number note exists to rival this great piece.
