This 1934 Boston star note is a mule with back plate #600. Previously it was believed that a mule star was impossible from the Boston District. John Swartz, the co-author of the Small Size Catalog, has confirmed the fact that this note is presently unique and as the note was printed 80 years ago it may remain so! This serial number is nearly 150,000 higher than the non-mules observed.
