This is a wonderful, newly discovered $10 First Charter Original Series from the capital of the Confederacy and this national bank was chartered just five years after the war ended. The First National Bank of Richmond was chartered on April 24, 1865. I guess it was clearer to some more than others! This is only the second First Charter known and it's got great paper quality and clear margins, both front and back.
