PCGS VF 30 Apparent
As the effects of the war between the states raged on more capital was needed. This really is an excellent example of a $20 Compound Interest Note. The paper quality is excellent and the paper has suffered little from the heavy gold surcharge that was added to make it look different and more important. This note is not perfectly problem free but it is a very nice example of this type. Great paper and excellent surcharge, just a wonderful note. There are only 57 reported serial numbers and of those graded 75-80% have negative comments. This example has minor issues. PCGS notes: small edge splits, minor restoration.
