Athens Bank of Athens $5 Proof

A bright and gorgeous Georgia proof with an appealing rustic scene at upper left and bold "FIVE" protector at bottom center. A bright and fully framed note printed on cardstock with four small punch cancels at bottom. The bank was in operation from 1857 into the 1860s. A single diagonal corner fold accounts for the grade.
