An impressive Obsolete design with a Lazy 5 at bottom center and portraits of Jackson, Buchanan, Washington, Jefferson and Clay. Signed by the Cashier and dated Nov. 13, 1858. A pinch of ink erosion is barely noticeable unless one looks long and hard. Easily one of the very nicest ones we have encountered as most are lower grade. Even the lower grade notes, when they actually appear, sell for a few hundred dollars. This note is easily the taskmaster of those and with the Shingoethe provenance all the better.
