Always a popular town for this state's collectors, it is located on the central California coast. The holder should actually read edge split (singular) as we see a single one that just touches the frame line from the bottom margin. This is one of the nicer looking examples that you will come across as they only surface perhaps once a year on average and always bring some type of four-figure price in Fine or better grade. Recent prices on California notes show that they have seen a great swelling of demand and we would expect a similar reception for this note. PCGS notes: small edge tears.
