___, 185_. Lyman Dayton was a wealthy real estate speculator who tried to start a bank in 1856. He had little success and the bank was listed as "worthless" as early as 1859. Few, if any notes, made it to circulation with only proofs and remainders known today. The $1 note features a portrait of Mr. Dayton. Haxby MN-135, G 2a.
