According to World War II Remembered, these former types from Algeria were overprinted "TRESOR" as "the first conversion that was conducted by the Allies with the objective of blocking excess purchasing power". Illustrated in neither the Standard Catalog nor World War II Remembered. PCGS terms this "Fine 12". Only the second we have offered, with the first a somewhat higher grade example that hammered for $2600 at Memphis 2008.
