Finding a First Charter Deuce for the Selvage Collection was a chore. It wasn t until Don C. Kelly sold his renowned collection of Ohio notes that a suitable example was obtained. This very scarce Ohio bank issued only First Charter notes and was liquidated in November 1874. It is also the sole issuer in the town. Only five notes in all are reported, another $2 of unknown grade or history and three Aces, all from the same sheet as this note. Nothing has been available from this location since the sale of the Kelly holdings some four years ago.
