This beautiful Gem $10 Type 1 is a Redfield note. That is correct, after the LaVere Redfield estate dispersed the amazing hoard of silver dollars they found and what was considered odd paper money. I had Jack Everson follow up the lead in Reno and we were able to purchase the notes which included twenty-two $10 Winnemucca notes, with most being Choice to Gem CU. Also included were a few large Reno notes including a lovely $100 and three nice 20s. That's all I can recall from that deal. These were in big demand at that time and I would say they still are.
