A very scarce Tennessee bank that was previously known by just two 1882 Value Backs. This newly discovered Plain Back comes to us from the Rocky Mountain Collection. Although well used, it is a solid piece. The one fault is a margin split at the right end that just touches the design. There were three other banks in town but two First Charter only institutions closed a decade or more before and remain unreported. This is the better of the two collectible banks. Stamped signatures are present, but I can't make them out. From the Rocky Mountain Collection.
