In 1998 this note was offered as Lot 740 in the CAA fall sale where it realized $17,000 and then again in a 2005 Heritage sale where it brought $29,900. We now expect it to bring well in excess of that number because of the collector demand for these rare and unusual double denominations. This note was part of a sheet #V95408 and bank serial #1620, plate position 'D' and the back is an inverted $20 Value Back! This sheet would have been plated $10-10-10-20 (A, B, C, A) and $10-10-10-20 (D, E, F, B) with the numbering scenario being the later. This is the $10 front and $20 back. Signed by Irwin Smith, Vice President and J.N. McDonald, Cashier. I'll bet they never knew...but we do!
