Fresh 'out of the weeds' along with two of the other great fancies in this sale. Almost every block begins with serial #1, very few proceed to solid 9s, and among those that have, only a fraction are set aside. This joins the known three $10 solid nines; now permitting one new collector to build a set of $10 solids. In terms of rarity and grade, this note is arguably on par with the $2 solid 9s which we sold as part of the Billy Key Collection at $31,050. Utterly spectacular in every facet with spot-on centering, deep embossing, and original paper wave. Our estimate should prove conservative.
