The latest Track & Price census lists only two serial numbers for this iconic type. Our lovely specimen retains brown pen signatures and boasts three oversized margins from the 'A' sheet position. In the era before third-party grading, this magnificent note would have justifiably been called XF, without objection. Now, given the huge range within VF, PCGS has chosen to consider this the equivalent of VF/XF. Comments are 'restorations; minor stains', the restorations are entirely confined to the oversized upper margin and the previous problem areas could just as easily have been trimmed away; if there are minor stains present they must be so minor as to escape our detection.
