This was a First Charter-only issuer that opened in 1873 and promptly closed its doors a mere 4 years later in 1877. Amazingly, seven notes are reported, with this the only 1875 $5 example - and the only collectible $5 note as the other is the Original Series serial #1. This is a very pleasing example of a very rare Kansas type. Excellent pen signatures and good paper quality make this the type of note anyone would enjoy in their collection.
