During the decades since this note last sold it has become even clearer how rare and desirable it is; it has become an iconic example of this short-lived design. This error will never be less desirable. This error is pristine of course, with the security strip which is more visible than on a printed note. This $100 is a rarely seen example that is missing the face, or second printing. No doubt this error will prove very rare over the years as the type was so short-lived.
