We originally sold this note in 1998 as part of a four note run. For 15 years it was believed that these were the only four uncirculated Fr. 840b notes. Then, in the 2013 FUN sale a fifth consecutive note surfaced. All five of the group are equally nice, with a slight variance in the back centering being the only difference between the 65s and 66s. These five notes are finding their way into very strong hands, so if you want an uncirculated Fr. 840b, you are running out of chances. Since that first appearance in 1998, not one of the five has ever sold for less than $6,000, with one example bringing $14,950. The most recent sale of a note from the run was almost two years ago, when the newly discovered fifth note (#I1314422A) was purchased at $6,462; a steal in my opinion. This could be your last opportunity for some time to come.
