This bank was chartered in 1871 and this would have likely been the first note ever issued by the bank as this is a #1 'A" position note. This was the town's only national bank and it closed in 1927. Currently there are 16 large notes reported on the bank but no other #1s. Excellent signatures of O.D. Pritchard, President and G.B. Robinson, Cashier. There is a horizontal split that has been restored. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
