This is a great rarity and it carries the charter #27 that immediately follows the First National Bank of Washington, which was the first national bank note printed. There are seven large notes reported but only two public offerings. This grade brought $9,200 in 2010. This jewel is lovely with excellent signatures of M.W. Henry, Vice President and W.H. Huntington, Cashier. I believe a Huntington signed charter #26 as well. Same family...same person?
