A beautiful, early Department Series $50 from Act of 1882. This is as lovely a note for the grade that you will ever find. It's not listed in the Track & Price index at all. The census only shows eight that may possibly be nicer, though I seriously doubt that. An example also called '55' is only two serial numbers away and the only other note graded '55' was by PMG in April 2009. It's been a decade since another was offered.
