Having lived the US Paper Money and bank note business for more than half a century I have had the pleasure of handling many wonderful and important rarities and connecting them with fortunate custodians. That being said, there are few notes that seriously fascinate me. This Double Denomination $50 face and $100 back is half of the sheet. The Columbia National Bank produced 8,494 sheets of 1882 sheets of one $50 and one $100 notes. This sheet has the back inverted creating a UNIQUE DOUBLE DENOMINATION ERROR. The quality is spectacular and the desirability is over the top. Certainly among the rarest and most exciting items I have had the pleasure of offering.
