NC-85 G8a. Nov. 1, 1862. American Bank Note Co. New York. Central vignettes of an Indian family and a teacher with students on each side of a very patriotic shield. George and Martha Washington are found in circular portraits at the upper left and lower right corners. What makes this note so special is that it is numbered, dated, and signed by BOTH the Cashier and President. Remainders from this issue are dirt common. Fully issued notes are not. This lovely Ch. AU example is one of the very nicest fully issued ones we have seen.
