NC-95 G14a. Pennell 600. Feb. 1, 1861. Danforth, Bald & Co., Philadelphia & New York. Small central vignette of Hope. This is the type with the ornate back, although Pennell does not differentiate between plain and ornate backs. At upper left, a seated princess as America. Fully issued and really scarce. This note first sold for $1,150 back in 2003 and we doubt it has gotten any more common.
