MD-48 $8 January 1, 1767
Grade:
PCGS VF 30
Signed by Couden and Clapham. These 1767 notes are much more difficult to obtain and because the paper was thicker and crisper than the 1774 notes, they are almost always seen with tears, splits and other damage. VF 30 is an excellent grade and it certainly has a much better appearance than would be indicative of a typical VF. We sold an example in this exact grade for $450 at our last Kansas City sale. PCGS notes: repaired edge splits.
