FIVE NOTES; most likely a complete set of company scrip for Breijinho das Amethystas. This was originally a German company operating in Idar, the German capital of the gem industry. Part of the company was and still is located in Brazil. Notes were issued from 1918 to 1933 with permission of the Brazilian government. The company's owner, H. Albert Becker, helped develop the region. Printed in Germany. WBG terms these "Ch. UNC 64 TOP"; "UNC 62Q margin staining"; "Ch. AU 58 TOP"; "Ch. EF 45 TOP"; and "UNC 62 TOP", all from the Shafer Collection. This is the only complete set of which I am aware.
