Manchester Commercial Bank of Manchester $15 Postal Note

Haxby MS-UNL. This late Post Note is not only an important denomination from the state, but an immense rarity. We do not recall seeing an example and it appears to be an unlisted type in all the references (notes from Yazoo City are listed). It’s a Rawdon, Wright & Hatch engraved note with Hebe and eagle at the top. Not in Byron Cook’s 1995 auction which set the standard for Mississippi note collections. The note was once lightly silked with back stains. Piece off bottom- academic in regards to its possible uniqueness. Estimate might be conservative depending on specialist’s inclinations.
