May 13, 1752. Included with this lot is a piece of paper that gives biographical information. Signed by Josias Lyndon. He was originally a scrivener (scribe) in his younger days. He was also the Clerk of the Assembly for roughly four decades. He served a single term as Governor of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. A simple yet early colonial document.
