Wilkesbarre Wyoming Bank at Wilkesbarre' $1 Proof
Grade: PMG Ch. Abt. UNC 58 Net
PA-715 G40. June 11, 1841. Proof. Underwood, Bald, Spencer, and Hufty, Philada. Danforth, Underwood & Co. New York. Justice and Manufacturing at center. Cameo heads at each side. PMG notes Repaired, which seems to be a small edge split repair near the lower right corner. The Wyoming Bank was chartered in 1829, and became the Wyoming National Bank, charter number 732, in 1865. Not nearly as popular as the vividly inked National Bank Note Company notes but really just as scarce in many instances.
