A pretty darn scarce high denomination note from an infrequently seen 1757 issue. The signatures are quite bold, the red inks stand out, and the margins are acceptable for this type. Almost all pieces that we see come up for sale are VG or Fine and have splits, tears, stains, and the like. This problem free VF is likely one of the nicest you will ever find. Not surprising considering its provenance. Ex: Eric P. Newman collection.
