PA-450 G50. 18__ Proof. Four HPCs. Bald, Cousland & Co., Philadelphia. Baldwin, Bald and Cousland, New York. Excellent vignette of Independence Hall at right. PMG spots a minor restoration but it is not jumping out at us. The $500 and $1,000 Proof notes tend to be a collecting niche all their own since there are relatively so many fewer than for the lower denomination Proofs. The variety with the red "D" protector was found in the ABNCo holdings but not this one.
