I have always been drawn to Iowa First Charters as a collector which may go back to around 1966-1968 when I first saw a Storm Lake First Charter. It took decades to acquire but I have one. This note is evenly circulated with excellent color and evidence of the folds on the back from use. The penned signatures are of James Harker, President and George Eastman, Assistant Cashier. It does have a tiny edge split and a pinhole or more. The bank was chartered on December 1, 1881 and was placed into receivership in December 1904 due to incompetent management.
