Hyde Park Lamoille County Bank $100 Proof

VT-100 G16a. May 21, 1855. Four HPCs. India paper only. Central vignette of milkmaid and cows. Lower side portraits of Henry Clay and Andrew Jackson. Large "100" protector at bottom center. Opened in 1854, this bank became the Lamoille County National Bank, charter #1163, in 1865. A rare $100 denomination. This first sold as part of the Peter Mayer collection for over $850 in 2015. PCGS notes: edge tears and a tape repair on back.
